You already know how much I love this, but things I noticed on the reread I didn't notice before:
I love that there are indications that both Levi and Kan'jin are very young, but Kan'jin seems older, because he has had to be. Old before his time and still too young to know.
I also really love the mental image of chewing gristle off a thought, I still love all the little ways the elements show that they love Kan'jin (especially air), and I love his description of Jin'do best of all.
