7. Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
Well, ... lately I've been using an iPhone app (I KNOW) called Brain Wave to make creative-oomph white noise. Sometimes I can listen to music while I'm writing, but in that case, it's generally either music in a language I don't understand (or Latin) or music without lyrics. If it's music with lyrics, I will put it on loop so that I don't pay attention to it, but only to my thoughts. Inevitably the music will creep in, of course, but I prefer not to notice it.
As for songs I like to relate to my characters, I do that far too goddamned much, such as with the Silvermoon jukebox (any of the Seiryuu jukeboxen, for that matter; I remember being very proud of myself that I pared it down to ONLY six for Greyspell).
In a sublimely jackasserous move, I gave Serge Graycloak "The Unforgiven". All the little girls who made AMVs for Naruto with Evanescence songs or whatnot are feeling smug right now.
